This evening we drove to the airport to drop off Dadda/Patrick as he was disappearing again into a board room in Melbourne all weekend. He’s important like that.
Usually on Friday nights we go out for dinner. It’s our date night. But this week, it was just Evie and I. I would generally just prepare a meal at home if it were just the 2 of us… Or roll around to mum and dads and sponge off of them. They’re good like that.
Seeing as we were out and about anyway, my baby and I stopped off at Chinatown for dinner. It was one of my most favourite dates EVER! Sorry Patrick.
There we were, sitting across from each other. We didn’t really talk. It was an easy date. We just loved people watching and being there together, occasionally holding hands and occasionally having a cuddle. She was happy and content. She’s beautiful like that.
We ate some noodle soup and drank some Chinese tea (well Evie actually had water but lets just pretend).
We had A LOT of attention from the people sitting around us. As one family left, the dad even came over to me and said “You have a beautiful daughter and I can’t believe how well behaved she is!”.
Then off we went back to the car… Stopped by someone on our way who asked if they could take a photo of Evie… Then we drive home and snuggled in to bed. Best date night ever.
